RALEIGH, NC (AP) -- The NC Highway Patrol says 10 people died in traffic accidents during the Labor Day holiday weekend, fewer than the number in 2013.
The holiday weekend began at 6 p.m. last Thursday and ended at midnight on Sept. 1.
Last year, the patrol said 14 people were killed during the holiday period.
Two of the fatalities occurred in Moore County.
